Course Name
National Academic League Description
National Academic League covers English, Science & Technology, Math, and Social Studies. The class is designed specifically to help students better succeed on the NAL team, but students may find it generally beneficial beyond that. NAL competition starts in January, and consists of trivia questions, team problems, and speeches. |
Knowledge TrainingWe'll take some quizzes, do some online exercises, and have some discussions to improve students' general knowledge base.
|
Big QuestionsNAL matches include a speech round in which students are tasked with taking on a controversial topic. To prepare for these situations, we'll spend time researching and discussing the big questions. Students will pull knowledge from all the subjects in order to attempt to answer these big questions, and they'll be that much more prepared for the speech round in competition.
|
The GamesStudents will need to be able to answer questions under pressure, so we'll play a variety of games to build up their tenacity.
